The Golden Tower

Druck in Gold auf schwarzem Papier. Zwei Teile zusammengeklebt. Katalog in Posterform anläßlich der Ausstellungseröffnung in der Galerie Springer am 6. Dezember 1974. In kleiner Auflage erschienen.

„ The Golden Tower, exhibition at the Rudolph Springer Gallery (with the support of the DAAD). A cylinder, as high as a man with a 50 cm diameter, painted with ormolu. At the opening different visitors are lifted, one after another onto the tower by two men in dinner jackets. This work was the prototype for the later work Golden Tower with Charging Tops, besides being a model for a 333 m high tower which was to be crected in Steinplatz, Berlin, in line with a rubble heap, a column and the broadcasting tower of East German Television. The exhibition catalogue takes the form of a poster, its golden letters printed on black paper.“
